Happy Birthday Scoutie Roo!!!

I can't believe it! My baby is 8! Can he still be my baby when he's 9? Where have these years gone and, how has this child survived me!?!? Yes, Scout is my crazy one but, he is just as sweet. I love his snuggles and his thoughtfulness.

Scout wanted to spend his birthday on the boat so we took him to the lake. We had one of the best family fun days of the summer! We laughed, swam, tubed and had a picnic together.

Help!!! My thumb turned green!

Dear Mom,

I just wanted to say thank you for passing your green thumb onto me. I was probably the daughter you least expected to get this crazy gene of yours. I remember when I was little and I wined and cried about doing yard work. I used to fake stomach aches, headaches....you name it anything to stay inside. I remember opting to clean the bathroom over working in the yard! I would never dream of that now!

I thought you'd like to see what I've been up to all summer. I've even been getting up early to get extra time outside before it get's hot. I know, shocking huh?
